Petaluma Baseball Club

Founded in 1907, the Petaluma Baseball Club brought together local enthusiasts at the Electric Shoe Company store, now Chick City Goods. Playing at Kenilworth Grounds, the team embodied the spirit of regional baseball, drawing fans for thrilling Sunday games and fostering community pride. By 1913, the club helped establish the Sonoma County Baseball League, leveraging local rail travel to connect neighboring towns through sport. Though their time was brief, the club left a lasting legacy, blending the excitement of baseball with Petaluma’s rich cultural and social history.
